About the Swedish Beverage Industry’s Climate Initiative

If we are to save our planet, everyone must play their part, from governments and authorities to companies, organizations, and individuals.

This is why we – The Brewers of Sweden Association, the Swedish Spirits & Wine Suppliers’ Association and Systembolaget – formed the Beverage Industry’s Climate Initiative in 2017. In this industry initiative, colleagues are working individually and jointly with the vision of “A beverage industry with zero climate impact, where every drop counts”.

The annual Climate Report

Working together, the initiators have developed a reporting tool that enables the participation of large and small operators alike. The results are presented in a yearly report that shows the Swedish Beverage Industry’s Climate Impact. The measurement method used is the Green House Gas Protocol.

It is not a matter of what we need to do, but when.

–The global temperature is rising! It is not a matter of what we need to do, but when. 43 Swedish alcohol beverage companies have come together in a reporting initiative helping both small and big companies to lower their climate impact. The Swedish Climate Initiative for beverage companies is a unique initiative proudly initiated by the Swedish Spirit and Wine Suppliers, the Swedish Brewers and Systembolaget.
